CALL FOR PAPERS
To undergraduate and graduate students in economics:
The Economics Education and Research Consortium (EERC) and the Economic Research and Outreach Center (EROC) invite students of economics departments from Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and South Caucasus to participate in the EERC/EROC Annual Academic Students Conference that will be held on February 15 (16), 2007 in Kyiv.
Title of the conference: "The Economics of Transition: Evidence from
Ukraine and the Surrounding Countries"

Caucasus School of Business has become a member of EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). On November 20 th, 2006 Institutional Membership of the school was approved by EFMD Membership Review Committee in Brussels.

On October 14, 2006 the Caucasus School of Business held the Graduation Ceremony in the “ Republican Youth Palace”. The Ceremony was attended by Mr. Kakha Bendukidze – Georgia State Minister; Mr. Ramaz Khurodze – Rector of Georgian Technical University; Mr. Lasha Papashvili – Head of Supervisory Board of Bank Republic ; Dr. J.Colin J. Dodds- The President of St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Canada; Ms. Rowena Cross – Najafi – Public Affairs Officer of US Embassy; Mr. Denis Leclaire – Director of International Office of St. Mary’s University; Mr. Jim Hart – Representative of NDA; Dr. Boghdan Budzan – President of Management Consulting Center, Representative of CEEMAN ( Kiev, Ukraine);Ms. Maryana Lozynska – Director of Marketing and PR of International Management Institute( Kiev, Ukraine) and other honorable guests .
90 BBA and 6 MBA students were awarded the CSB Diploma.

Businesswomen Leadership Training Program |

Caucasus School of Business (CSB) of Caucasus University and Georgian Association of Marketing (GAMa) offers Women Leadership Training Program during June –July 2006. This program is funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and conducted in cooperation with EBRD Business Advisory Service (BAS).
The Businesswomen Leadership Training Program helps women to gain skills that are necessary for launching their own business or further develop already owned one. Training provides participants with knowledge and skills necessary to manage small and medium size businesses. The program incorporates the best practices management with the unique challenges that women may face in Georgia. Training courses include: Marketing, Operations management, Financial Management, and General Management.
On April 19, 2006 the traditional Job Fair of Caucasus University took place in Expo Georgia. The leading Georgian and International companies, as “ BP Georgia”, “Canargo Standart Oil”, “TBC Bank”, “ProCredit Bank”, “Bank of Georgia”, “Bank Republic”, “ImediL”, “BCI Insurance”, “ Ernst and Young”, “Basis Bank”, “Nikora”, “Georgian Glass and Mineral Waters Company”, ”Procter and Gamble”, “PSP Group”,” Iberia Refreshment-Pepsi” participated in this event.
Seminar in Organizational Behavior |

Caucasus School of Business and HR Professionals Club invites incumbents of managerial positions to attend the seminar on Organizational Behavior. The seminar will be instructed by the invited professors from St. Mary University, Canada.
The course objective is to identify and develop the skills necessary to understanding behaviour at work; to assist individuals to identify and develop the skills necessary to be an effective member of an organization; to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.

On March12, 2006, at the Republican Youth Palace the presentation about the establishment of Endowment Fund in partnership with Bank of Georgia was announced to the alumni of Caucasus School of Business. The Fund will be mainly used for funding the students. BOG will help to manage the Endowment Fund and reinvest its capital.

A presentation Of the Ph.D degree took place on March 9,2006 at the Republican Youth Palace. It is the first Ph.D program in Business administration, not only in Georgia, but in the entire Caucasus region .The program , with specializations in Finance, Marketing and Management, aims to generate quality professors and researchers to serve the needs of business school, private and public organizations; to create new knowledge in business area , and to strengthen educational capacity.
